Recycle reminders

The Village of Glenbeulah contracts with Harter's Lakeside Disposal for trash/waste/recyclables collection.

Trash collection is every Monday. Trash needs to be placed inside the trash cart provided by Harter's Lakeside Disposal and set out by your curb no earlier than Monday morning at 6 AM. If items are too large to fit in a cart, please call Harter's Lakeside Disposal 833-754-2158 for pick-up instructions.

Recyclables collection is every Monday. Recyclables are to be placed inside the recycle cart provided by Harter's Lakeside Disposal. Acceptable items are any plastics number 1 through 7, newspapers, chip board (cereal boxes), aluminum, tin, junk mail, paper, glass, magazines, and broken down cardboard.

A dumpster located behind the community center is for yard waste only. When dumping branches, they must be cut into pieces no longer than 4 feet in length and 4 inches in diameter. The dumpster is removed during winter months.

Christmas trees that are clean should be taken to the park parking lot for disposal. A sign will point you to the designated area. If a tree has lights, garland or other decorations, it should be placed at the curb for pick up with your regular trash. Advance Disposal will NOT take clean trees.

Due to Wisconsin Act 50: Eligible Electronic Devices,Harter's Lakeside Disposal is NOT able to pick up e-waste with normal trash pickup. The following is considered e-waste:

  • Consumer Video Display Devices: Monitors/Televisions greater than 7" diagonal display
  • Consumer Computers: CPUs
  • Laptops

  • VCR (Video Cassette Recorders)

Your cart should be within 18 inches of the curb with the arrows on the lid pointing to the street/curb. Carts cannot be placed on the street. If there is snow, please clear an area in the terrace, or leave the carts at the end of your driveway.

To avoid damage to property, place the cart at least three-feet away from mailboxes, lampposts, and other fixed objects.

Place your cart on as level a surface as possible, but away from low hanging tree branches.

Place carts at least three feet away from each other.

Close lids prior to pick-up. Lids should be closed on the carts for driver identification and in order to stop material from spilling or blowing away.

Carts not properly placed will be tagged and not picked up.
